Rata Social Services NPC is a registered NPO and CPO with a Christian ethos and we focus on the protection of children against all forms of abuse through statutory intervention.
The NPO also implements community development projects in vulnerable communities. The Organization has 13 offices in 4 provinces (Gauteng, Limpopo, Northwest and Mpumalanga). Rata Social Services personnel corps consists of qualified program managers, social workers, auxiliary workers and administrative personnel.
We currently have a vacancy at our Elsburg office.
Requirements:
- Applicable BA (Social work) Degree
- Registered with the SACSSP
- Valid code 08 driver’s license and driving experience (persons with only a learner’s license will not be considered and a driving test is compulsory)
- Experience in statutory work (child protection services) is highly recommended
- Excellent report writing skills
- Emotional intelligence and resilience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Bilingual: to serve the specific communities that we are responsible for, applicants must understand, speak and write English and Afrikaans
- Computer literate

Rata Maatskaplike Dienste NPC is ‘n geregistreerde nie-winsgewende Kinderbeskermings organisasie wat werk vanuit ‘n Christelike etos.
Ons primêre fokus is die beskerming van kinders teen alle vorme van mishandeling deur statutêre ingryping (verwydering vanuit onveilige situasies, kinderhof ondersoeke en pleegsorg dienste). Rata Maatskaplike Dienste bied ook gemeenskap ontwikkelingsprojekte in behoeftige gemeenskappe aan.
Die Organisasie het 13 kantore in 4 provinsies (Gauteng, Limpopo, Noord-wes en Mpumalanga). Ons werkerskorps bestaan uit gekwalifiseerde programbestuurders, maatskaplike werkers, hulpwerkers en administratiewe personeel.
Ons beskik tans oor ‘n 2/8ste vakature vir ‘n Maatskaplike Werker in by ons pleeghuis in Rustenburg.
Minimum vereistes:
- Toepaslike BA (Maatskaplike werk) Graad
- Geregistreer by die Suid-Afrikaanse Raad vir Maatskaplike Diensberoepe (SACSSP)
- Beskik oor ‘n geldige bestuurslisensie en bestuursondervinding (persone met slegs ‘n leerlinglisensie sal nie oorweeg word nie en ‘n bestuurstoets is verpligtend)
- Rekenaarvaardig
- Statutêre ervaring kinderbeskerming sal as sterk aanbeveling dien
- Vermoë om dienste te lewer in Afrikaans aan ses pleegkinders asook die betrokke pleegouers
- Opleiding in spelterapie sal aanwins wees maar is nie vereiste
- Vaardigheid om onafhanklik te funksioneer
- Vermoë om in ʼn span te werk is ʼn vereiste
